This is your chance to be on a Youth Jury!
As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations, Reel 2 Real will also present a FREE Film Criticism Workshop immediately after the screening of WINKY’S HORSE on Sunday, November 25 from 3:00-5:00 PM in the Vancity Theatre Atrium. The two-hour workshop is open to all young viewers, ages 7-19, who want to join the Youth Jury. Workshop participants will sharpen their critical eye, gain an appreciation for film, and learn what makes a film great!
The 20-member Youth Jury meets for 4 Sundays in January and screens over 50 films to be shown as part of the upcoming Festival. Rating films on plot, character, setting, acting, sound and cinematography, youth in the Jury will award seven prizes, announced during the festival's Opening Night Award Cerebration.
